Farmington Welcomes Novel Jazz Septet

Farmington-Old South First Congregational Church, UCC is excited to announce the return of Maine’s Novel Jazz Septet band on Saturday, November 14 at 7pm.  The evening will be filled with not only music, but stories and history surrounding the lives and works of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, bringing the audience back in time to a place where 20^th century influences shaped the contributions of Ellington and Strayhorn to the jazz world.  On Sunday morning, November 15 the sacred music of Ellington and Strayhorn will be incorporated as the special music for the 9:30am worship service. All are welcome.
