"The World of the Generous Gets Larger and Larger."
Proverbs 11:24 The Message
Your world can be bigger than you thought. This years stewardship season is emphasizing the growth we all experience as we enlarge our view of the world through our generosity, Watch for our information Sunday, October 19 following worship where you will be able to see how our generosity has made a difference at home and around the world.
On November 16 in worship we will celebrate our expanded universe in an intergenerational worship that will include all of the expressions we use to enrich our devotional experience. We will include the senior choir, children's choir, Shepherd's Pie, our drummers, and possibly other groups yet to be named. It will be an extravaganza of all that we are, by the grace of God.
"In Christ there is no longer Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for all are one." (Galatians 3:28) Walking towards God, we, the members of (Old South) First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, Farmington Maine, seek through God's Grace to be a congregation that includes all persons who desire to live God's Love, as shown to us through the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. We respect and embrace differences of gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identification, mental and physical ability, as well as racial, ethnic, or social-economic background. We welcome all to share fully in the life and leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities and blessings of participation in our congregation. We are an open and affirming church: open to all, and affirming of all God's beloved children. "No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here."
