Meet Our Staff

Marraine Kettell, our pastor, hails from Durham, Maine. Previously, Marraine served churches in New York, Pennsylvania, and the Metropolitan Boston area. She was called to Old South in September, 2018. Now that she is back in Maine, Marraine enjoys her free time reconnecting with family and friends nearby.

Jodie Gunther is our director of youth and children. She's also the mom of three amazing teens, Katherine, Thaddeus, and Zack. Before moving to Farmington, Jodie was an associate editor at "Popular Science" magazine. In her free time, she enjoys working with her husband, Eric, on their farm. And on weekends you can often find her at the keyboard for the local dance band, "Shepherd's Pie.

Patricia Hayden, our church organist, has been serving God through music for the past 45 years. Her career began in 1975 at Williston-West UCC Church in Portland, followed by several years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook, where she teamed up with her husband Joel, who was choir director. After moving to Farmington in 1982, Patricia served at Trinity Methodist Church, moving to Old South Congregational Church in 1985, where she still joyfully serves as organist.

Phyllis Pederson, our church’s office administrator, grew up in Mississippi and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BSBA. Before working at Old South, Phyllis worked as an assistant buyer for a department store. She enjoys living in Maine, spending time with family and friends, and working with the Old South church family.

Kate Clark, our communications manager, attended Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia. She joined Old South with her daughter, Olivia. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family.
